As a Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design graduate, I source my material from classwork and personal photography. Majoring in interior design, I am bringing together architecture and my personal memories. This comes from working with film, woodworking, ceramics, and digital programs. I use vibrant colors that are unnatural in everyday life. Many photos are distorted to create a world outside of the present. This idea of a parallel world often comes up through exaggerated movement or outdated technology.
Being able to touch an object in real time is essential as it provides more information. Creating an artificial world can happen through the exploration of everyday objects. The art made is a timeline as each new piece is updated from what has been gathered since. I want to convey a universal emotion everyone can feel through prior experiences. If this isn't possible at least create a new one when interacting in a physical space.
